Sunday Boot Camps

These courses are designed to provide professionals with the mathematical and spreadsheet skills that they require to solve real life problems that they encounter at their workplaces.

Attendees are provided with sound mathematical, statistical and computing skills to enunciate the problem and solve it using the functionality provided by spreadsheets.

Participants are encouraged to submit problems before they attend the camp so that the training package is tailored to their needs and aspirations.

For the convenience of busy executives these courses are run on weekends.

The following courses are currently available:

• CM310 Business Boot Camp: You will get a sound understanding of mathematical and statistical fundamentals required to enhance and polish your problem solving skills.
• CM315 Supply Chain Management Boot Camp: You will understand the mathematical principles of forecasting and numerical analysis and become proficient in application of advanced statistical techniques.
• CM320 Quality Management Boot Camp: This course will help you master the complexeties of statistical quality control and provide a foundation for statistical process control.
• CM435 Mathematics for Engineers and Scientists
• CM530 Advanced Engineering Mathematics.
• CM550 Operations Research Boot Camp: You will get deep insights into the use of mathematical and programming techniques that can be used to optimise operations.
• CM555 Benefit Cost Analysis.

Business Computing

Extract the maximum from your office applications by mastering the rich functionality available in today's office applications.

Attendees are not merely taken through a set program but provided skills to solve the problems that they have actully encountered at work.

These courses are also ideally suited to busy professionals who would like to expand their skill base.

On offer are the following one-day courses scheduled on weekends. At this stage they are available only at selected locations in NSW.

• CP101 Fundamentals of database design.
• CP102 SQL and advanced databases.
• CP201 Object oriented programming using VBA.
• CP202 Fundamentals of Visual Basic for Applications.
• CP301 Turbo-charging EXCEL with VBA.
• CP302 Turbo-charging ACCESS with VBA.

Easing into University

These courses comprise seven, two hour tutorials designed to help students get a headstart in university studies.

Students who have not learnt mathematics at the appropriate level at school or those who would simply want to increase theirt competence would gain a lot from these courses.

The courses are currently available at Wollongong only.

Choose from the following bridging courses:

• BC110 Mathematical foundations of commerce.
• BC120 Mathematical foundations of economics.
• BC130 Getting ready for engineering.

High Achievers

Students who wish to unlock their full potential and achieve high marks in their high school subjects are offered the following ten-week, two-hour tutorial programs.

The tutorials are currently only available in the Illawarra and Wollongong.
